How well antenna does depends on location and geography.
Many external factors can affect how well our TV antennas can pick up certain signals, such as trees, buildings, distances, and weather. Not taking these external factors into account, the antenna should be installed as high as possible for the best reception. Installing the antenna more than 30 to 50 above ground level would be ideal.

Q: How far away from the station antenna can one get reception?
A: It depends mostly upon the location and the weather. You have to look at what would block the signal though. Think of the TV antenna as a flashlight shinning at you. If there is a giant anything in front of you, for example, heavy woods, it’s going to put you in the dark with no signal. These are rated for about 150 miles, and my experience says that this is valid. (By anonymous customer in February 2016)
Q: I have two TVs one upstairs and one downstairs how is this going to work if they both need to be cabled to the converter box?
A: Run a cable from each tv to the control box there are two hookups on the control box. (By Jack R. in February 2014)
Q: Can I use this antenna on Analog TV?
A: YES! – The outdoor HDTV antenna works on any standard TV or HDTV. You can use it on your analog TVs with a DTV converter box.
Q: UHF or VHF band?
A: Over 90% of HDTV broadcasts are on the UHF band. Unless there are HDTV broadcasts on the VHF band in your area, don’t bother with VHF antennas. These outdoor antennas are typical of much bigger size, more expensive and more difficult to install. In principle, you can buy a VHF/UHF antenna to cover both bands.
