Time to Rescan Your Channels

If you watch TV for free with an antenna, you’ll want to keep a watch on your channels changing frequency. By law, nearly 1,000 TV stations must change frequencies to make room for wireless services between 2018 and 2020. Phase one has already started, which means it may be time for you to rescan channels.

Rescanning is thankfully a simple process, which requires no new equipment or services. You can find which stations in your area are moving and at TVAnswers.org, a viewer resource provided by the National Association of Broadcasters.

On April 23rd, 2018, select channels in the following cities will change frequencies.  The next major rescan after April 23rd is September 14th, 2018, so make sure to follow @TVAnswers for the latest updates, or visit TVAnswers.org to sign up for alerts.
